On Saturday 24 November, 16 Thundridge Cubs, Leaders, Young Leaders and Parents (including an American visitor!) took the train from Ware to London Liverpool Street.
On arrival at Liverpool Street, the Cubs used their mapping skills to find the direct route to the Sky Garden (well worth a visit) where we saw clear views of London and beyond from all points of the compass.  Once back on the ground the Cubs used their maps to find their way to the Monument.  They climbed the Monument counting all 311 steps up and …

Little Indians Beaver Scouts have been getting into the Fundraising spirit this term and have taken on the ‘Herts Air Ambulance Challenge’ which involved learning about what they do, who they help and being amazed that they are all volunteers! Herts Air Ambulance Volunteers came to visits us, showing us their slideshow of rescues they have done, what is involved and how our money is used.
We created our own moneyboxes and over the course of 4 weeks, Little Indians raised £76.05 for Herts Air Ambulance!

We may think Foodbank’s are a recent innovation, but they have been around since the Victorian times and in their current form since early 2000’s. This was one of the ‘myth busters’ we were told when Hertford Foodbank visited us on Friday 23rd October. Fran & Malcolm from Foodbank gave an intuitive talk to our troop and eagerly answered questions from the scouts. To support the Foodbank, we have been collecting dried goods, tins and jars of pasta, sauces and fruits to provide food for those in crisis or need. …
