We welcome volunteers to join us; of course there's checks to be done on individuals such as A CRB but you could possibly become one of the hundred thousand+ UK adults delivering a weekly programme to four hundred thousand+ children or part of the estimated one million adults who have roles behind the scenes of what is a global, educational youth (and peace) movement (around twenty eight million full members worldwide to date!). Roles can be sectional right through to mowing the grass!!

Part of Scouting's mission statement is...To help young people achieve their full, physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as respected members of their local, national and international communities.

Often people think that they haven't got the time. Remember saying that before you got a full time job? Remember saying that before you had children? Remember all the time people find to watch things like the World cup! View a role in Scouting as a hobby and not a job or chore! Maybe when you see Beavers, Cubs or Scouts you think back to your time in the movement...get to relive your childhood!

To enquire about a role within 2nd Ware (St. Mary's) Scout Group see the contact details at the top of the page.

If you wish to view Scouting at arms length before possibly committing then, no problem, either look around our website or visit www.scouts.org.uk for a local and general overview. Alternatively the Scout Association has set up the Adventure News and  Campfire Circle email shots which are aimed at interested adults and give regular snapshots of what's happening.
